For couples tying the knot in early year 2011, this is about the right time for preparations and planning, what more with the upcoming wedding exhibition that guaranteed a wide range of choices, services, as well as interesting bargains.
Held for 3 consecutive days, the 7th Malaysia International Wedding & Banquet Exhibition is The Concept Exhibition’s latest bridal event. The exhibition, one of the grandest events in mid-year, hails the participation of more than 28 renowned bridal studios and bridal houses from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and also from our own local talents; as well as 5-star banquet restaurants and hotels all around the nation.
Choices aside, the attractive bargains are the magnate for most visitors and buyers, which include the following: up to 50% package discounts available at all booths, free goodies and prizes worth up to RM500’000; and for buyers who have deposit RM500 and above in any booth, all will stand a chance for the Grand Lucky Draw Competition and win the 3 grand prizes- RM30’888 for First Prize, RM20’888 for Second Prize and RM10’888 for Third Prize; excluding the 17 Consolation Prizes which covers honeymoon packages and beauty care offers too.
Of the list of featured programs this time around, Ivory Romance and a few famous local designers will be there to showcase their latest designs in bridal fashion, while Love Story Event will be happy to perform their lovely ensembles for all the visitors present. A new addition to the list will be De Pastry Chef, which will be demonstrating their unique talent and skills in the art of sugar-pulling.
The 7th Malaysia International Wedding & Banquet Exhibition will be held at the following:
Time: 11am – 10pm
Venue: Atrium and Hall1, MVEC
Date: 23rd – 25th July 2010
With the huge success of the previous event, we sure hope that this time’s would be even more fun. So, don’t miss out this grand event in the middle of the year!
The finale of the 3-days event was indeed remarkable, as a huge crowd, where its sheer number certainly surpassed our expectation, almost overflowed the atrium when the emcee announced the start of the Grand Lucky Draw. The smiles and laughter from the lucky couples, as well as the cheers from the audience before the stage made the perfect last note for the encore that announced the end of 2009.
In all its wintery glory, the 5th Malaysia International Wedding & Beauty Exhibition had its perfect wrap-up amidst thousands of happy visitors. In the spirits of the Christmas season, soon-to-be-married couples are not the only visitors here; grandparents, parents, siblings, and even friends have tagged along, lending a helping hand or giving a thought or two as the couple made their choices of bridal attire, banquet and reception venues, or photographers.
Making their way towards the entrance, visitors will be greeted first on sight—a row of elegant or stylish dining settings with ornate silverware down the Hotel & Restaurant Avenue, or various gowns and dresses in vibrant hues and magnificent, intricate designs lined along the pathway within the exhibition hall. While the booths of restaurants and hotels are a sight to behold, the real limelight is on the bridal studios. Past the entrance, into the middle of the hall, and you will find a lively parade of dresses and gowns—some with merry hues of the Christmas festive seasons, others being embodiment of the pure white snow in winter.
Of course, a bridal fair will not be complete without the Bridal Fashion Show, and the 5th Malaysia International Wedding & Beauty Exhibition has presented with two equally impressive shows for both Saturday and Sunday. De’ Paris Image once again made their winter season debut in style, this time with puffy, Victorian-styled snow-white gowns leading the way, followed by evening gowns with Christmas hues, and lastly, cheongsams with a modern twist in flamboyant festive colors; each gown represents the different facets of the bride—pure cuteness, sensual alluring, and elegant beauty.
For Ivory Romance, a long-time established bridal fashion house, their presentation was equally fantastic, if not, with more extravagance. In between energetic dances, their latest gowns from the Rosette and Crystal editions were paraded one by one, from pure white bridal gowns to majestic evening gowns, rounding up with their specialty—shimmering, stylish cheongsam, and this time with more subdued, elegant colors, exuding an air of lavish luxury.
In between the on-stage activities, visitors are treated to delightful traditional Chinese orchestra music, performed by the Regal Orchestra, and a brief vocal performance as well.
All in all, it is a merry occasion for the visitors as well as the participants, and making all this possible is The Concept Exhibition, having previously brought to us grand bridal events and fairs. As the event’s website partner, Wedding.com.my wishes to express our gratitude, as well as honor, to be given this opportunity to participate in this glorious event.
Last but not least, a big thanks to all of you who have lent your support for us, for the event and the organizer; and we hereby wish you a merry Christmas!
The event is indeed a grand affair, judging from the numbers of exhibitors and visitors, both the general public and trade buyers. The annual Malaysia International Jewelry Fair is one that many wouldn’t miss, and the event for year 2009 promised us a grand opening.

Those who attended the first day of the opening will chance upon Her Royal Highness the Raja Perempuan of Perlis Tuanku Tengku Fauziah binti Al-Marhum Tengku Abd. Rashid, the Guest of Honor for the opening ceremony. Among all the honored guests and performers are International model Amber Chia, local singer Dato’ Hajag Sheila Majid and violinist/DJ Joanne Yeoh.

There are more than 70 exhibitors present, representatives of jewelry retailers, wholesalers, even jewelry-related services, including jewelry purity analysis. Among the participants are Gemology Institute of America (GIA) and their newly-opened Thailand laboratory and gemology campus. There were gem wholesalers from Sri Lanka and Myanmar, jewelry manufacturers and retailers from Hong Kong, Singapore, India, and of course, a few of our very own local retailers. Guangzhou Xi Hou’s is one of the few featuring Chinese carvings and handicrafts from jade and other precious stones.
For those who came as trade buyers, they will surely not miss the seminar by GIA’s acclaimed gemologist, Mr. Alexander Ross, one on the 10th July, on selling jewelry and product knowledge for trade buyers, and the other on the 11th July for gem connoisseurs, about rubies and it significance as talismans, simple accessories, even engagement rings.

And in the end, when visitors are tired at the end of the exhibition, Asia Spa is just at the end of the hall, offering visitors a free massage session, while promoting their latest packages for an all-natural herbal therapy and spas.
The Malaysia International Jewelry Fair is held at the 4th and 5th Hall of the KL Convention Center, brought to you by Elite Expo Sdn. Bhd. while supported by Tourism Malaysia and MATRADE.
Models with crystal head accessories, dressed in stunning wedding gowns and evening dresses, courtesy of Keith Kee, are quite the crowd-pulling effect for the 9th KL Wedding Expo. The fashion show marks both days of the wedding expo, along with live band performances and a lucky draw with honeymoon packages waiting to be claimed, sponsored by PYT Travels.

This year though, the expo is on a smaller scale, held only in Hall 1. However, the effect it has, and the crowd attracted, is nothing small. Participating bridal studios include almost every studio existing around KL. And wedding photography is not the only promotion on. In fact, a few also have promotions for individual photography packages and group photography packages, especially for brides who’d want to keep a beautiful album of themselves and their girl friends before the wedding. Such a package will cost about RM500+ to RM800+, depending on number of photos and costumes provided.
Aside from the promotional packages and the bridal fashion show, the elaborately decorated events management booth right at the entrance is itself an attraction, as well as a testimony of the management’s skills venue and event preparation.

The 9th KL Wedding Expo is organized by Harenet Communications Sdn. Bhd., who had organized the previous KL Wedding Expo, and whose profile includes a number of other well-known events like the Parenthood Expo and Mami & Baby Fair.
