To say that the event is a success is an understatement, especially when you have been there yourself. The weekends have seen a steady stream of visitors throughout the whole day for the 7th Malaysia International Wedding & Banquet Exhibition, despite there being 2 other fairs held at adjacent halls in the Mid Valley Exhibition Center.
Just like the previous fair, a number of renowned bridal studios and service caterers—a few already big names back at their home states or in the global market, have been invited to participate in the event. A walk down the Hotel and Restaurant Avenue and you will find well-known international names such as The Banker’s Club, Equatorial, Swiss Garden and Ah Yat & Unique Seafood among all the exhibitors.
Bridal studios are never short on renowned names, which include established local designer brands such as Ivory Romance, new brands such as Vivi Bridal and of course, brand names from Taiwan and Hong Kong. The best of bridal fashion trends is revealed in the fashion shows, in which Vivi Bridal and Ivory Romance have presented us with a spectacular array of bridal gowns and evening dresses—a credit to their designers’ brilliant effort.
Dresses and attire aside, Lence Ladies’ Academy isn’t losing out on the stage show either, with their demonstration on creative bridal make-up that brings out the best in every bride. Exotic eye make-up, sprinkles of rhinestones and glitters at the right outlines indeed look like magical touches applied.
While the fashion shows and make-up demonstrations usually steal the limelight, the cake decorating session by De Pastry Chef’s experts are no less impressive, what more with the free cake-sharing session once they are done with their demonstration.
In between each session of activities, Love Story Event presented to us their jazz band the Elements, entertaining visitors with a wide variety of songs—upbeat contemporary rhythms, classic romantic pieces, duets by the female and male lead singers, as well as solo feats by each member of the team. The saxophone solo tops the performances, although the vocal feat by their singer/keyboardist and their guitarist is equally amazing as well.
However, nothing drew the crowd like the Grand Lucky Draw, as the atrium was fully crowded even before the official start of the activity. For the 20 couples who won the prizes, it is definitely a huge surprise, and for some, a heart-warming, touching day when their other half proposed to them on the spot.
For couples tying the knot in early year 2011, this is about the right time for preparations and planning, what more with the upcoming wedding exhibition that guaranteed a wide range of choices, services, as well as interesting bargains.
Held for 3 consecutive days, the 7th Malaysia International Wedding & Banquet Exhibition is The Concept Exhibition’s latest bridal event. The exhibition, one of the grandest events in mid-year, hails the participation of more than 28 renowned bridal studios and bridal houses from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and also from our own local talents; as well as 5-star banquet restaurants and hotels all around the nation.
Choices aside, the attractive bargains are the magnate for most visitors and buyers, which include the following: up to 50% package discounts available at all booths, free goodies and prizes worth up to RM500’000; and for buyers who have deposit RM500 and above in any booth, all will stand a chance for the Grand Lucky Draw Competition and win the 3 grand prizes- RM30’888 for First Prize, RM20’888 for Second Prize and RM10’888 for Third Prize; excluding the 17 Consolation Prizes which covers honeymoon packages and beauty care offers too.
Of the list of featured programs this time around, Ivory Romance and a few famous local designers will be there to showcase their latest designs in bridal fashion, while Love Story Event will be happy to perform their lovely ensembles for all the visitors present. A new addition to the list will be De Pastry Chef, which will be demonstrating their unique talent and skills in the art of sugar-pulling.
The 7th Malaysia International Wedding & Banquet Exhibition will be held at the following:
Time: 11am – 10pm
Venue: Atrium and Hall1, MVEC
Date: 23rd – 25th July 2010
With the huge success of the previous event, we sure hope that this time’s would be even more fun. So, don’t miss out this grand event in the middle of the year!
It will be hard to not notice the vibrant activities and events on the stage throughout the whole Sunday in Midvalley’s Exhibition Hall on Level 3. As we arrived at the venue, there is already an event on the stage, as the energetic host announced and gave away the prizes to winning participants during the De Palma Packages Talkshow. For this event, the organizing company, D’Organiser, had invited quite a number of guest performers, including the artists from ERA.

And the stage performances are not the only attraction at the front door. The colorful ‘Kolam’ and the baby grand piano, each placed right in front of both entrance, are more than enough as attractions. And the grandness does not stop at the entrance. Magnificent would be an understatement, once you’ve noticed how much effort every participant has poured in to turn their simple booths into an actual wedding ceremony altar or a banquet setting.

There are photographers, bridal studios, retailers and manufacturers of bridal accessories; though in the end, the ones that got most of the attention are the event planners, organizers, caterer services and hotel banquet services. Gilded chairs, ambience decoration, setting up of the ceremony altar, complete with gold or bronze ware, peacock feathers, miniature ‘kolams’ at their respective booths; not to mention the pastries and symbolic traditional food presented in their best looks, up for display.

All in all, it is a fulfilling experience, whether if it is for those looking for a bargain, or those who are just tagging along to have a look at the latest trends this is definitely a fulfilling experience for everyone.
Despite superstitions regarding the year of the Tiger, wedding related events are, most of them, unaffected by the hype. For the Midvalley Megaamll, their Exhibition Hall (MVEC) is once again teeming with life at their most recent wedding-related event—The Romance in Fate Bridal Fair 2010. The bridal fair was held on the 5th till the 7th of March 2010, from 10am to 9pm at hall 2 and Hall 3 of MVEC.
For visitors who’d entered the doorway, they’d be awestruck right away by the decorations and décor exhibits—dangling crystal drops from over the archway, with rows of like-themed bridal gowns complementing the designs (and welcoming every visitor towards the hall), and not to mention, a Mercedes-Benz C-230 Avantgarde in bridal décor, just off the entrance.
While the décor is quite mesmerizing, the main attraction for the event is the list of events for visitors’ and buyers’ participation.Buyers who have brought either their magazines (Feminine, My Wedding etc) will stand a chance to win goodie bags worth up to RM70, and there are a few lucky draws with a wide variety of prizes, held by sponsoring companies done during Sunday. Nanyang Siang Pau’s Romance Wedding Awards Ceremony is another highlight for the event.
Of course, the bridal fashion show isn’t to be missed, being another major crowd-puller. Saturday had White Elite and their lead designer wow-ing the crowd with their latest bridal dress designs, which included the hip-&-trendy bridal mini dress, complete with masquerade-esque styling and accessories. Others include Dominique Chan’s Pret-A-Porter 2010 Collection and Albert King & Leeren Bridal during the opening.
Choices and entertaining activities aside, the bridal fair is also quite a knowledge-enhancing experience, as visitors get to attend to various talks and seminars by experts, in regards to wedding customs, beauty-care and make-up plus styling, all free of charge.
All in all, the Romance in Fate Bridal Fair 2010 is one stunning, sparkling romantic event in all its sparkling glory.
January and February marked the beginning of spring, which signifies the arrival of a brand new year ahead. As we celebrate the long awaited spring season, a grand bridal event is on its way to greet us this late January.

The 6th Malaysia International Wedding & Beauty Exhibition is held in conjunction with the Chinese New Year festive celebration, as well as the beginning of the Valentine’s Day mood. The event will be held for three consecutive days, starting on the 30th January 2010 (Sat) to the 1st February 2010 (Mon), from 11am till 9pm. The exhibition will be held at Hall 1 in Mid Valley Exhibition Center, third floor. Admission is FREE for all public visitors.
Highlights of the Event
As the usual fare of all standard bridal fairs, there will be the participating booths as well as the stage performances. However, this time around, there will be representatives from the 28 most renowned local and overseas bridal studios among the others, and 14 other 5-star hotels and banquet restaurants will be taking part in the event too. Visitors will indeed be delighted at all the bargains available—up to 50% discounts, rebate vouchers worth RM2000 and above, plus goodies in a total of RM50’000.
For the stage performances, once again, we have Regal Orchestra to entertain us with their mix of classic traditional Chinese orchestra music, upbeat jazz, and the occasional contemporary music and vocal performances. As for the bridal showcase, expect to see various masterpieces from renowned Designers, with Ivory Romance taking the lead.
Aside from the various performances, let’s not forget the Grand Lucky Draw and other contest prizes waiting to be won; with RM30’888 first prize, RM20’888 second prize, and RM10’888 for third prize, 17 consolation and 40 China Tour packages for 40 lucky couples!
Organizer
The 6th Malaysia International Wedding & Beauty Exhibition is brought to you by The Concept Exhibition, who had previously presented us with the 4th and the 5th series of the aforementioned wedding and beauty exhibition. As the official website of this upcoming event, Wedding.com.my is proud to be part of the wedding fair, and we are grateful that we’ve been given the opportunity to participate in this grand event.
Thus, we hereby extend our invitation to all our members and guests to attend to this coming event. We look forward to meet you there soon.
The 4th Malaysian International Wedding & Beauty Exhibition is nothing short of impressive despite its lesser scale. It definitely captured the spirit and mood of autumn, with its décor of twigs and vines, each decorated with lovely flowers and sparkling strings of crystals.

For three days, the event had attracted both would-be-weds, their families, as well as many more who are seeking out bargains for holiday travels and beauty care. Participants from all walks of the wedding service field came with only their best for display.
While there is nothing short of impressive down the walkway lined with gilded chairs, magnificent dining settings and elegant gowns, De’ Pastry’s display definitely steals the crowd with a full view of their wedding cakes and sweet delicacies, all in their actual state.
The same could be said for the bridal fashion show, brought to us by House of Picaso and De’ Paris Image, both being well-known establishments on their own. House of Picaso’s bridal fashion show would be one of the crowd pullers on Saturday, with their newest fashion for the fall season. Not to mention the dance performance accompanying the show and the various models: baroque-classic waltz for the entrance of the bridal gowns; hot fast-paced jive alongside the trendiest evening gowns, and the final entrance for traditional cheongsam gowns being led out one by one, complemented with traditional Chinese umbrella and fan dances.
Not to be left out, the lucky draw itself is a fun-filled event, as the first 3 winners are given a compulsory task to fulfill before they could bring back their gifts. And it certainly did give the crowd a good laugh to see one winner kneel and proposed to his fiancée right on spot!

Aside from the interesting activities and impressive fashion show, visitors are also treated to the upbeat jazz performances by Fuze Entertainment, as well as a Guzheng performance during Friday night.

All in all, it is certainly a job well done by the organizers, The Concept Exhibition; who had handled various bridal and consumers fairs in the past. And we at Wedding.com.my are truly honored and grateful that we are given the chance to participate as the website partner of this glorious event. Do feel free to log on to www.wedding.com.my for more information regarding the recent fair, as well as other upcoming events.
Models with crystal head accessories, dressed in stunning wedding gowns and evening dresses, courtesy of Keith Kee, are quite the crowd-pulling effect for the 9th KL Wedding Expo. The fashion show marks both days of the wedding expo, along with live band performances and a lucky draw with honeymoon packages waiting to be claimed, sponsored by PYT Travels.

This year though, the expo is on a smaller scale, held only in Hall 1. However, the effect it has, and the crowd attracted, is nothing small. Participating bridal studios include almost every studio existing around KL. And wedding photography is not the only promotion on. In fact, a few also have promotions for individual photography packages and group photography packages, especially for brides who’d want to keep a beautiful album of themselves and their girl friends before the wedding. Such a package will cost about RM500+ to RM800+, depending on number of photos and costumes provided.
Aside from the promotional packages and the bridal fashion show, the elaborately decorated events management booth right at the entrance is itself an attraction, as well as a testimony of the management’s skills venue and event preparation.

The 9th KL Wedding Expo is organized by Harenet Communications Sdn. Bhd., who had organized the previous KL Wedding Expo, and whose profile includes a number of other well-known events like the Parenthood Expo and Mami & Baby Fair.
